Are you looking for the best solar-powered surface pump? The Dankoff Solar Slowpump is it. This proven design has been in production for 30 years, and thousands are service on ranches, homesteads, and remote off grid locations. These American- made pumps feature durable brush-type motors which are not only efficient, but are clearly larger and more rugged than the competition. The pump heads are a simple, low maintenance, rotary vane design. Pump motors come in either 1/5 HP for economy, or 1/2 HP for lots of pumping power. Pump heads are available for pumping up to 550 feet or as much as 1600 gallons per day.

If you want to run your pump on solar panels, the Dankoff Solar Slowpump is ideally suited for the job. Depending on how much water you need and how high you need to pump, choose solar panels from 40 to 700 watts. For maximum solar water pump design flexibility, your pump can be 12, 24, or 48 volt DC. No batteries needed. These pumps run just fine direct from the solar panels. Put your solar panels in a place where they get at least four hours of strong sun per day, fill your tank when the sun shines, and supply your home or weekend cabin with solar-pumped water 24/7. If you install the optional Pump Controller, you can increase output by up to 30%. Also if you want the pump to turn off when your tank is full, a pump controller has terminals that make installing a float switch easy. Here's a diagram that shows how to do it.

And if you'd like to run your Dankoff Solar SlowPump from a generator, inverter, or grid power, they are available with low starting surge 120 VAC motors which minimize strain on your generator or inverter.

Why is it called the Slowpump? Because unlike gas-engine pumps or most AC submersible pumps, which pump a huge amount of water in a short period of time, the Slowpump pumps smaller amounts over longer periods of time. Thus, it is very energy-efficient and can make maximum use of the steady output of solar panels. This also means you can use save money by using smaller diameter output pipe.

The Model 1308-48 uses the economical 1/5HP motor, runs on 48 volts DC, uses 4 amps maximum, can pump a maximum of 1 gallon per minute, and has a maximum lift of 400 feet. Typical output per day using four 60 watt solar panels is 300 gallons per day. Use pump controller 75-0136
