Do Not Overtighten End Nuts

Click here to view, print, or download Do Not Overtighten End Nuts v2.pdf

Do not overtighten the End Nuts. This will cause damage to the High Pressure Piston inside the pump. Fix leaks the right way, by cleaning the End Washer or by replacing o-rings. Order O-Ring Set 10-1310 for the 4.5:1 model or 10-1312 for the 9:1 model. Use silicone grease on the o-rings, 10-1550. Also put some grease on the End Washer to help it seal. Or order the new-style End Washer 10-1375. It has a built-in o-ring for improved sealing. Also check the alignment of the Head with the Barrel. The Head must seat flat against the Barrel or there may be leaks. You may have to tap the Head with a rubber mallet to get it to seat in flat.
